LOCAL WANDERLUST: Lake Chelan’s got a “Crush” on you

Lake Chelan Crush

If you’re looking for an excuse to re-visit your summer fling with Lake Chelan, don’t give in to Seattle’s gray skies just yet, and head over to the annual Crush festival hosted by Lake Chelan Wine Valley. You’ll have two weekend opportunities (October 4-5 and October 11-12) to dive in to a behind-the-scenes look at what makes the region the perfect wine-lovers destination with 21 boutique wineries opening their cellars to guests.

For those really looking to get involved in the process, grape stomping is on the menu. You’re sure to have a few I Love Lucy moments presented to you. Take advantage of one weekend, or both. Listen to winemakers’ harvest tales, taste the best Syrahs and Pinots, and take in live music, all with the backdrop of the 50-mile long shimmering Lake Chelan.
